Introduction
Some people wait until they become successful before they begin helping others. Albert Prempeh Kusi chose a different path. While still a student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), he identified a major challenge confronting many young Africans: talented graduates were leaving school without the mindset, financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills needed to thrive. Rather than complaining about the problem, he founded Success Africa, a platform that has grown into one of Ghana’s most influential youth empowerment movements, inspiring and mentoring more than 300,000 young people across Ghana and other African countries.
Today, Albert Prempeh Kusi is widely respected as an entrepreneur, investment consultant, corporate trainer, public speaker and founder of the LEC Group, using his influence to help individuals and organisations unlock their full potential.
From Campus Vision to Continental Impact

Albert’s entrepreneurial journey did not begin after graduation. While studying Management Studies at the University of Cape Coast, he launched Success Africa with the conviction that young people needed practical mentorship beyond the classroom. What started as a campus initiative has since evolved into a movement that has reached universities, tertiary institutions and young professionals across Ghana, Rwanda, Nigeria and Liberia.
Through annual Success Africa Summits, he has consistently brought together accomplished business executives, entrepreneurs, CEOs and industry leaders to equip students with practical knowledge on entrepreneurship, leadership, personal branding, career development and financial intelligence.

Building Excellence Through Finance and Business

Albert combined his passion for youth development with an outstanding professional career in finance. He held leadership positions within Ghana’s financial services industry, including Head of Sales at Databank Group and Liabilities Product Manager at First Atlantic Bank, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of HMI Management Services in 2019.
His academic preparation reflects the same commitment to excellence. He earned a Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast, an MBA from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), and is an alumnus of the prestigious Opoku Ware School.
As Founder and CEO of the LEC Group, Albert continues to provide business advisory, investment consulting, leadership development and entrepreneurship training for individuals and organisations.
Empowering Africa’s Next Generation

One reason Success Africa has remained relevant for nearly two decades is Albert’s ability to bring together some of Ghana’s most respected business leaders to inspire young people. Speakers who have featured on the Success Africa platform include Bernard Avle, Nii Armah Attuquaye Mckorley, Prince Asare Boateng, Adwoa Wiafe, Dickson Assan and Paul Cyrus Kwame Adu Acheampong, among many others.
The movement has also attracted sponsorship and partnerships from leading organisations including MTN Ghana, Absa Bank Ghana, GCB Bank PLC, Ecobank Ghana, GLICO Group, GBfoods Ghana and InvestCorp Ghana, demonstrating the confidence corporate Ghana has placed in the vision of Success Africa.
A Voice Challenging Young Africans to Think Differently

Albert Prempeh Kusi has consistently challenged young people to become creators of opportunities instead of merely seekers of employment.
One of his most widely quoted statements is:
“All you need is a mindset; all you need is to identify a problem.”
He also teaches that lasting financial success requires mastering what he describes as the three dimensions of wealth:
“Learn how to make money, manage money and multiply money.”
These simple but profound principles have become foundational messages at Success Africa events and continue to inspire thousands of young entrepreneurs across the continent.
A Legacy Still Being Written

Albert Kusi’s story demonstrates that leadership begins long before titles and recognition arrive. By starting Success Africa while still a university student, he proved that young people do not have to wait for the future to create impact. Nearly two decades later, his vision continues to shape lives, develop entrepreneurs and raise leaders who are solving problems and creating opportunities across Africa.
His life reminds every young person that a simple idea, pursued with consistency, excellence and a heart to serve, can grow into a movement that transforms generations.
