Ghanaian business leader Richard Nii Armah Quaye has attributed the collapse of his marriage to the pressures of success.

Speaking candidly on The Delay Show, he stated, “I was a victim of my own success.” According to him, wealth introduced complex challenges that strained relationships.

He explained that success brings unique problems, including loyalty issues: “The moment you make money… you don’t know who loves you anymore.”

Quaye also highlighted external influences, noting that “scavengers and parasites” played a role in destabilizing his marriage.

Despite the separation, he expressed respect for his ex-wife, saying, “She’s one of the finest wives I could ever have… I still have so much love for her.”

He emphasized personal accountability, adding, “I don’t blame anybody… there is always something I could have done differently.”

His reflections shed light on the emotional cost of success and the complexities that come with wealth and influence.
